How NDI output works

NDI runs as a separate bridge process, not an in-app toggle. Configure your output — name, crop, rotate, mask — in the NDI Controller panel inside DjMirror Pulse Settings, which saves a config file. Then run the bundled DjMirrorPulseNdiBridge program to actually start streaming: it captures the show’s visual output window and publishes it as a named NDI source (for example, “DjMirrorPulse Main”) onto your local network.

Any NDI receiver on the same LAN/VLAN discovers it automatically — no IP addresses to type. Streams video only, with no fixed frame-rate cap — it runs at whatever your hardware can render. NDI audio isn’t included. On macOS, the first run asks you to grant Screen Recording permission, since the bridge captures the window rather than tapping the renderer directly. Need more than one feed? The config supports multiple named outputs (sample configs ship with up to five), each shaped independently.

Requirements

NDI output is available in the Full edition of DjMirror Pulse (Windows and macOS) and runs as a separate DjMirrorPulseNdiBridge process alongside the main app. On macOS, grant it Screen Recording permission the first time you run it. For live shows, connect everything over wired Gigabit Ethernet on the same LAN/VLAN as your receiver — NDI is bandwidth-heavy and Wi-Fi can drop frames under load.

Does DjMirror Pulse support NDI?

Yes. The Full edition includes a standalone NDI bridge that publishes your show to the local network at your render resolution (1920×1080 in the shipped example configs).

Is NDI just a switch inside the app?

No. The in-app NDI Controller (Settings) only edits the output config — name, crop, rotate, mask. Which apps can receive the NDI feed?

Is NDI in the Mac App Store (Lite) edition?

No. NDI output is a Full-edition feature (direct download for Windows and macOS). The Lite edition on the Mac App Store runs the same audio-reactive and DMX engine without NDI.
